- Confirmed chartered on 12/10/1850. Assigned to District 8 in 1850. Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master to authorise the opening a Lodge, in the City of Richmond, by the name of Dove Lodge, appointing Wor. Thomas P. August, Master; R. A. Williams, Senior Warden and James K. Caskie, Junior Warden; and said Dispensation being returned together with the necessary documents; Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge by the name, title, and designation of Dove Lodge, No. 51, and appointing the Officers named in the Dispensation.
