Confirmed chartered as "Loge Française" on 12/10/1850. Assigned to District 8 in 1850.
Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master to authorise the opening a Lodge, in the City of Richmond, by the name of Loge Française, with permission to Work in the French Language, appointing Wor. Chas. Huberson, Master; F. W. Rosier, Senior Warden and P. H. Taylor, Junior Warden; and said Dispensation being returned together with the necessary vouchers;
Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge by the name, title, and designation of Loge Française, No. 53, and appointing the Officers named in the Dispensation.
