- Confirmed chartered on 12/11/1849. Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master, to authorise the opening a Lodge at Fairfax Courthouse, by the name of Henry, and nominating Wor. Elam Jones, Master; Thomas J. Murray, Senior Warden, and Edward Sangster, Junior Warden; Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name, title, and designation of Henry Lodge, No. 40, appointing the Officers named, upon the payment of the usual fees, when they shall furnish the necessary testimonials and documents.
