1817 Proceedings: A petition of sundry brethren, residing in and near the town of New Canton, Buckingham county, praying for a charter to open a Lodge in the said town, was received, to which was annexed a certificate and recommendation of Lodge 38, on which,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the establishment of a Lodge in said town of New Canton, by the name of Monroe Lodge,
No. 107, appointing Benjamin D. Anderson, Master; William L. Fontaine, Senior Warden; and William Catlett, Junior Warden.
1826 Proceedings: Listed as dormant.
1848 Proceedings: Whereas a dispensation was issued to authorize the opening of a Lodge at Appomattox Courthouse, by the name of Monroe Lodge, No. 107, and appointing Wor. Z. E. Cheatham, Master, E. M. W. Durfee, Senior Warden, and S. D. McDearmon, Junior Warden; and said dispensation being returned, together with the necessary vouchers,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name, title and designation of Monroe Lodge, No. 107, appointing the officers named in the dispensation, upon the payment of the usual fees.
