- Confirmed chartered on 12/11/1849. Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master, to authorise the opening a Lodge at Union, Monroe county, by the name of Monroe Lodge, and appointing William W. Spencer, Master; Charles Baldwin, Senior Warden, and George W. Flannagan, Junior Warden; and said dispensation being returned, together with the necessary documents; Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name, title, and designation of Monroe Lodge, No. 12, appointing the officers named in the dispensation, upon the payment of the usual fees.
