- Confirmed chartered on 12/10/1850. Assigned to District 16 in 1850. Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master to authorise the opening a Lodge at Palmyra, in the County of Fluvanna, by the name of Palmyra Lodge, appointing Wor. Robert E. Nelson, Master; Montilla Clark, Senior Warden and Abner W. Strange, Junior Warden; and said Dispensation being returned together with the necessary documents; Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge by the name, title, and designation of Palmyra Lodge, No. 55, and appointing the Officers named in the Dispensation.
