In this paper, we explore the origins and teachings of Sufism, one of the two prominent strains of Islam. Sufism is entry into exemplary behavior and departure from unworthy behavior. The Sufi is single in essence; nothing changes him, nor does he change anything. Sufism means that you own nothing and are owned by nothing.
