Mt. Wor. Forrest D. Haggard, Past Grand Master of Masons in Kansas
Forrest Deloss Haggard is a Fellow of The Philalethes Society and its First Vice President. His book, Clergy and the Craft, earned him membership in the Blue Friars (Masonic authors) in 1979, (only one is chosen each year). Earlier he was made a member of The Masonic Brotherhood of the Blue Forget-Me-Not (Masonic educators). He served the Freemasons of Kansas as their Grand Master in 1974 and he has continued that service in many capacities. He has received the 33° of the Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, and is the recipient of its Grand Cross for outstanding service to it and Freemasonry.
He has been honored by the youth groups attached to Freemasonry. He has been awarded the Honorary Legion of Honor of DeMolay, and the Cross of Color from the Order of Rainbow.
He was made a Master Mason in Keifer Lodge No. 488, Oklahoma, on September 22, 1946 and served as Charter Master of Ancient Form Lodge No. 34, Kansas, in 1966. He has served most of the appendant bodies as Grand Chaplain.
He has served the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, in several parishes, as a minister since 1945, retiring last year as pastor of Overland Park (Kansas) Christian Church. He hasn't retired from serving his denomination and helping those in distress throughout the world.
